CEO/Superintendent Randy Shaffer Honored During Campus Visit

This month, Trinity Basin Preparatory CEO/Superintendent Mr. Randy Shaffer visited the Ledbetter campus to recognize the school’s Employees of the Month. However, what began as a celebration for staff quickly turned into a heartfelt surprise for the district leader.

Students and staff gathered to present Mr. Shaffer with a special award and commemorative plaque in appreciation of his dedication and leadership. The celebration also included handmade cards filled with personal messages thanking him for his unwavering support of Trinity Basin Preparatory and its campuses.

The unexpected recognition highlighted the strong connection between district leadership and the school community.

When asked about the award, Mr. Shaffer said, "I was so surprised! The kids were so awesome and each shared what makes Ledbetter special for them.  I was reminded of what is important in this job: our students.  It was such a wonderful experience for me."

Mr. Shaffer also said, "Many folks do not know this, but Ledbetter was previously another charter school that was shut down. I am so proud that we were able to purchase the property and open a TBP campus there for the kids in that underserved neighborhood.  They deserve a choice, and I am very proud of all who choose TBP Ledbetter."

Trinity Basin Preparatory extends its gratitude to Mr. Shaffer for his continued commitment to keeping the district running smoothly, supporting campuses, and enriching the communities TBP serves each day. His impact continues to make a meaningful difference across the organization.
